Romero 1982

The first performance of a new musical about the Life and Death of

Archbishop Romero of San Salvador. Dermot Woolgar palyed Romero.

The show is a tribute to a very brave man who risked and gave his life for the people of El Salvador. Romero tried to find a loving and peaceful path in the midst of a vicious and murderous Civil War. El Salvador was a crucible where the many political forces came together to create a mighmare.

The play has since been performed in may other places.
