Oh What a Lovely War!.
The Law teachers at The College of Law in 2001 were willing to have a go at various plays. Ater “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” we put on OWALW at The Drill Hall. We had a large cast and various friends and colleagues made up the orchestra, including Richard de Friend on drums. We performed the play as originally scripted. The video is amateur but successfully atmospheric.
We performed “Oh What a Lovely War!” keeping close to the style of the original. We tried to make a virtue of our amateurishness with a deliberately dated production.
