Crossfire was performed in Worth Abbey in 1984, when the Troubles were in full swing and very soon after the IRA nearly succeeded in assassinating many of the British Cabinet. Liam and I had visited Northern Ireland to research the play in Belfast and Derry. At the time there seemed very little chance of a peaceful solution.
