Carry on Chaucer in a French Garden

At a fund-raising Garden Party in Brittany a small group of local amdram friends put on a brief version of three of the Canterbury Tales in a light “Carry On” mode.

We tried out some re-written Tales, by the Wife of Bath, the Miller and the Franklin. We added some songs. As the audience was mixed French and English we experimented with Franglais and other ways of communicating the spirit of the tales. The amateur video does capture the atmosphere and the chaos quite well.
